Course Overview

This course provides some idea and thoughts to future planners about programming language. This course will be introduced to develop standalone computer program. Successful completion of this course will help the students to comprehend GIS courses specially the advanced one. It will also enhance their ability to learn other computer applications.

Course Objectives

This course aims at providing in-depth knowledge about the process of programming and algorithm development.

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)

After completing the course, students are expected to be able to:

·       Explain different terminologies and principles of computer programming;

·       Understand the basic steps of programming;

·       Interpret simple programmes;

·       Build simple algorithm to solve some practical problems;
