URP 4243: Sustainable Transportation
Course Overview
The course is designed for the fourth year
students of Urban and Rural Planning Discipline. Students of this course are
expected to learn and understand the advanced level of transportation planning.
This course offers a clear understanding of different tools and techniques
associated transportation planning to make it more sustainable.
Course Objectives
It is expected that upon completion of the course students will learn the basic concepts of sustainable transportation to comply with sustainable urban development.
Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)
After completing the course students are expected to be able to:
· Comprehend the problem of sustainability in transport sector;
· Analyse environmental and equity issues related to transportation services;
· Identify and apply the solutions for sustainable transportation.
