Course Overview

Students of this course are expected to learn and understand the basics of regional planning. This course covers the macro-level planning in regional perspective.

Course Objectives

It is expected that upon completion of the course student will learn the basic concepts of regional planning and associated techniques for preparing a regional plan.

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

·       Comprehend the basic concepts of region and regional planning;

·       Explain the nature of regional growth;

·       Analyse the spatial structure of regions;

·       Identify the regional planning process in Bangladesh in an international perspective.
