Course Overview

This course offers the students a clear understanding on the basic principles of land administration and real estate. This course will also discuss major challenges associated with land administration and real estate in Bangladesh. The course is designed in such a way that will help planning students to address the discourses associated with land development.

Course Objectives

The course will help students to gain understanding and knowledge in:

·       The history of land administration and management system of Bangladesh

·       Basic concepts of real estate

·       Assessing problems and prospect of real estate activities in Bangladesh

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

·       Understand the existing land administration system of Bangladesh;

·       Identify land management disputes of Bangladesh;

·       Manage, monitor, and assess real estate projects;

·       Carry out EIA for any land development projects.
